I wanted to hire a Ducati for three days to ride the Stelvio pass. Having looked at a number of motorcycle rental companies and read the feedback, I decided to book with MOTOROADS. I filled in the easy to follow booking form and was contacted within a day by Maria who was very helpful and who confirmed my booking for a Ducati Hyperstrada 800. I paid the deposit which was very reasonable £79 and arranged the pick up to be at Bergamo Airport arrivals. A week before my departure I received an email explaining that the bike I had hired had been in an accident, that Moto Road would provide a Multistrada 1200 at no extra charge! On the pick up day I arrived at Arrivals and located the van and driver Umberto by mobile phone( he was 50 m away from me). We found a suitable lay-by and the bike was soon ready to go. Umberto gave me a very good briefing in English and was very helpful in answering my question. The bike was excellent and came with a top box and two panniers. I then rode to Bormio and stayed at Sotto Vento a superb 4star hotel. Riding the Multistrada was excellent and gave no problems on the Stelvio and the Mortirola Passes. The return was just as smooth and I would like to thank MOTOROADS for such an excellent service and I would thoroughly recommend anyone wanting to hire a bike in Italy to use this firm.
